Taunton High Wheat Bar Recipe

Taunton High School Wheat Bars

1 lb butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 ½ cups all purpose flour
2 ½ cups rolled oats

Soften butter. Beat together first three ingredients. Beat eggs. Add flour and oats to eggs. Combine all ingredients.

Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes in a 12×16 pan, or two smaller pans.

Let cool then add topping.

For chocolate topping:

Melt 16 oz of chocolate chips with ¼ pound of butter. Spread onto bars.
